  • The extension does not track your browsing activity.
  • The extension does not use analytics, ads, or third-party services.
  • No data is transmitted to our servers or any external servers.

How the Extension Works

  • All processing happens locally in your browser.
  • The extension reads YouTube playlist pages only when you explicitly choose to scan them.
  • Extracted data (titles, URLs, channels, duration, views, age, thumbnails) is processed locally and can be exported as files (CSV, JSON, HTML) or copied to your clipboard.
  • Generated files are stored only on your computer.

Permissions Justification

The extension requires certain Chrome permissions for its core functionality:

  • activeTab – to access the currently open YouTube playlist when you click “Scan Playlist.”
  • scripting – to inject the content script that extracts playlist data.
  • downloads – to save exports (CSV, JSON, HTML) directly to your computer.
  • clipboardWrite – to copy playlist video URLs to your clipboard.
  • host permissions (youtube.com, m.youtube.com) – to allow scanning of YouTube playlist pages only.

These permissions are strictly limited to the extension’s intended functionality.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, share, or disclose any information because no data is ever collected.
